League Details

Each team must have a minimum of 6 men and 6 women. A player cannot be added to a roster if his/her dues are not paid. Please refer to General Rules - Adult Leagues I. F. to see who must play at the AA, A or B levels. Team placement is determined by previous performance of the team and its current members. If new to an established team, a player’s history can impact the team’s level and is evaluated on a hierarchy of previous league play. For women, league officials first look at play in the Sunday or Thursday leagues for the higher of those level flights. For men, league officials first look at play in the Men’s league. Returning team members carry the rating their Mixed Doubles team has "earned". The League Information for Team Placement document included in the Mixed Doubles Roster Information Packet gives complete search sequence information. The Adult Rules and other league information can be found in the ALTA Documents button below.

ALTA Documents

Need ALTA information? You're in the right place for rules, handbooks, guides and season packets that will answer questions and provide necessary instructions for playing ALTA. Document availability is role-based. If you are a captain or other team leader, you will have access to more information than a regular member to help you do your job. ALTA tennis follows the USTA Rules of Tennis found in Friend at Court. ALTA pickleball follows the USA Pickleball Official Rulebook.  You should also consult ALTA's rules for specific guidelines concerning league play and other ALTA-sponsored events. Those rules provide information on ALTA-specific regulations, such as default, forfeiture, retirement, scheduled match, sandbagging, inclement weather, rules specific to each league and the Junior Challenge Ladder.
